Welcome! Are you looking to unlock the tight knots, not just in your body, but in your mind too?

I’m guessing you’ve arrived on this page because you’re experiencing some kind of physical pain or tension?

Life is busy and the body tends to bear the brunt of the daily stresses and worries we all experience.

But you’re in the right place. Vana Life offers you the perfect space to unwind and be nurtured.

So relax.

What I’ve noticed from working with hundreds of clients over the past twenty years is that although people usually come to me because they have some kind of physical symptom, very often the cause is some kind of emotional stress or anxiety. This is why I’ve become more and more interested in working holistically with the body, looking to find whatever underlying block is causing any physical discomfort you’re experiencing.

Let me introduce myself. I’m Louise Semple, founder of Vana Life Massage and Yoga Therapy.

I pride myself on my intuitive, nurturing nature, which enables me to tune into the needs of others. I’ve been told I naturally put people at ease with my friendly, welcoming and warm personality. (I guess that the high number of long-term clients I have is proof of this). And this is important, because I know it’s not always easy to seek the help you need.

I offer a range of massage therapies, reiki, breathwork and yoga and blend these together in a way to suit you. I have a flexible way of working and can combine treatments together to specially help the healing process.

Sometimes what we think we want therapeutically is not what we truly need to return to wellness, so relax and let me your guide.

Personally I love nothing more than being out in nature with my cockapoo, Mani, (you might spot her in some of the photos on these pages!), spending time with friends and preparing and eating delicious food.

For me, it’s ALL about balance. Life is not about depriving yourself or trying to live in a particular, rigid way. My aim is always to help you experience a more fluid, softer, kinder way of living.

Take a look at my offerings page to see how we can start the journey.

Where I’m based:

The snug is nestled within the glorious Rownhams House, a welcoming and warm environment overlooking the magical walled gardens.

My regular yoga classes are held in the adjoining coach house, the perfect space to relax and unwind.

What is Vana Life?

Vana Life pulls together all of my experience from the past twenty years. Maybe it could be summed up in these few, simple words.

Finding balance

Earth

Freedom

Joy

Coming away from your head space, dropping below the thoughts and the seriousness of life, and finding a new freshness within you.

Why Vana?

The name Vana was birthed in the foothills of the Himalayas whilst at a yoga retreat hosted by Saadho which means to seek or seeker.

I had been struggling to find a name suitable for my business when Anish, the founder of Saadho mentioned the word Vana. Boom my heart skipped a beat.

Vana is Sanskrit for forest or fragrance which ties in with the therapies I offer. Earthy , Fragrant , rich in nature and a platform for growth.

Our Clients Say

It’s now 6 years since I first started going to Louise for deep tissue massages. I didn’t realise that having regular treatments could benefit both my mind and my body. Visiting Louise has helped me recover from injuries and anxiety by making me more aware of myself and being able to take time out in a peaceful location. I just wish I could visit more often!
